Peterbourgh Inter regional

Me and dan decided to take a trip up to the peterbourgh regional(midlands vs east anglia) on sunday to check out the new 3rd straight as we had heard it was very techniqual.
The train journey was only 49mins with a 15 min ride to the track at the other end so i think we'll be hitting that track up over the summer as its easier to get to than most london and south tracks. The track was riding really smooth and there wasn't any wind. 3rd straight looked really technical with the last few jumps being really deep. In practice most people was mainly focusing on the 3rd straight with only a few getting it smooth (not me). the 1st part of it was fine for me. it was only when it got deep was wen i started to struggle and it was hard trying to remember what your supposed to do.

i decided to race 17+ but in the end they mixed superclass, masterclass and 17+ together so we had a good amount of riders to race with. motos didnt go to well. i got 6-1-3 so i was having a bit of an on off day. still wasnt getting the 3rd straight right but neither was anyone else lol so i guess it took abit of pressure off.

Semi finals was quite hard. Had Lee Baker, Brad watts, Jake cheetham, and a few more good riders but i cannot remember their names. i had a decent gate and came out in 2nd and tucked in behind lee and just followed him around the track making sure i didnt do any stupid stuff. Had a quick look behind me on 2nd berm and we had about 3-4 bike lengths on the rest so i knew i didnt have to push hard down the 3rd straight. Brad didnt make it through. he looked pretty pissed. think he hit the gate and couldnt recover it.

I had gate 8 in the finals (stupid random computer) think they should let the riders pick like the do at nationals. but anyways i wasn't in the best of moods because of the stupid locals and i was in gate 8 so i didnt really know what was going to happen. Johhny hastings, dan whyte, dan clifford, josh cheetham, a fast supercross guy, shaun andrews were in the finals so it was quite hard. i just didnt want to come last.
I had a pretty good gate and moved over in front of johnny. i then moved over again over the speed hump and got infront of someone else and moved over again over the step up and then the triples so i was in 3rd behind lee and dan. i knew i had to stick with them to because the guys behind were fast and could pimp me at any moment. i took a quick glance behind me on the 2nd berm and i had a couple of bike lengths infront of the guy behind me. lee had a bad 3rd straight which allowed dan to go past him and i nearly snuck through as well but i flopped going through the deep section so i just chillaxed down the last straight so we got a south london 1,2,3 woo.

i should be getting my new wheels this week so i should beable to build up my 08 redline soon.
Started again at college for one more month which sucks because i got less time to ride the track now. but i'm start gym again at crystal palace today with keith so im looking forward to getting some good training before the hayes interregional on sunday.
